In the center of town stands Three Kings Monument, a bronze sculpture signifying the alliance between the three kings of northern Thailand to design the city. This popular monument is an icon of Chiang Mai and is spiritually important for locals. Be sure to remove your shoes before approaching the attached shrine, as the locals do when making devotional offerings, and be careful of the hot floor around midday. • Yes it is a monument. Look at it and go. The square itself is isolated and dull. Just do what we did, stop, look and go. You don't need longer than five minutes. There are no English information.....  more

  • Very iconic statues of three famous kings from many hundred years ago. Also, a school, a museum, and a government house are nearby as well as many restaurants in the back.
  • This is a popular spot... Recommend it as a good meet up location if you are connecting with the rest of your friends or tour group. Under blazing direct sun this was a really warm open plaza with the 3 Kings monument in the center.
  • THREE KINGS MONUMENT 🇹🇭 🏛️🇹🇭🏛️🇹🇭 ---Phaya Mangrai (middle), Phaya Ruang (right) and Phaya Ngam Muang (left)--- It stands majestically in front of Chiang Mai City Arts and Cultural Center. It is a place where Chiang Mai people or tourists come to worship. It is a monument to commemorate the founding of Chiang Mai. This monument is considered as a historical symbol of the city of Chiang Mai.
  • Impressive plaza in the middle of Chiang Mai. The three Kings Monument consists of King Ngam Muang (left), King Mangrai (center), and King Ram Khamhaeng (right) located at Amphoe Mueang Chiang Mai. Handicap doable Restrooms at the Wat Recommended
  • I have visited this place twice, in the night weekend and in the midday weekday. I really enjoyed it when it was midday on a weekday because it was not crowded. I also came in the day before Loy Krathong, so there were many colourful decorations around this spot.
