Ko Samae San is a small island with many sandy beaches providing excellent swimming opportunities and access to good snorkeling spots. You can bike around the island or trek through the lush forest, as well as visit a small natural history museum housing a whale skeleton. Because of the proximity of a Thai naval base, you need to book a tour through a local operator to visit this destination. • The Thai Team that takes care of this beach is very nice, water is clean and warm. During the week is not full, its almost like a private beach.

  • It's so beautiful here. Sands are so fine and white. There are not many tourists which is great. Navy staff are so friendly. Must visit this island while staying in Pattaya
  • The sea is beautiful, the water is still clear, suitable for diving. affordable accommodation Not far from Bangkok If you don't like the crowded Pattaya sea, you want to find some peace and quiet. Just drive a little further and you will arrive at Samae San.
  • Only a mini hiking trail on the island. The beach area is small. The water is clean but not clear enough today for snokerling. If you bring kids, you need to bring snokling gears for them. Foreigners have to be accompanied by local Thai. That’s why we have to buy a ticket online. I bought it from Klook. The manager is very nice to amend my schedule upon my enquiry within short period of time and the driver, local tour are very nice and kind. However I don’t think the price worth it I’m for day trip from bkk. We come from south Pattaya
  • This is a really good place not too far from Bangkok. I would suggest anyone who wish to go to the sea come here. The water is so clear and driving instructors are very knowledgeable. Taught us to dive first time under the sea. There are varieties of sea animal here. ❤️ Brilliant place to visit 🌺🐚🌊
  • Alright, so you found this hidden gem. This is all you need to know since there isn't much information about this this place. From my understanding, you need to be accompanied by a Thai person to be able to go here so we booked a tour through kkday, and it was amazing. You get a private driver, lunch, and brach chairs. The driver takes care of everything. Would highly recommend. Few things important things to know. The beach is owned by the Thai navy, so please be respectful. Bikinis are not recommended as it can offend the locals. This is really a local spot. I was 1 of two locals there. It's 2 hrs from bangkok without traffic. We did not hit any traffic to and from bangkok. The boat ride is about 10 minutes from the dock. It's slow, and waves were fine for us. After you arrive, there is a quick shuttle that takes you to the private beach. There is a small shop there. You can do excursions for really cheap. We did clear boat kayaking for 100 baht. They also have clear boar cruises and snorkeling you can do. To the right, there is a quick hike that is worth it. I recommend stopping the first viewpoint. The second is unpaved, so make sure to wear shoes if you go. (Attached is a photo of the view Go as early as possible. My family had the whole beach to ourselves. Around 2 p.m., a group of children came but was still pleasant. There is a small restaurant there you can get food. We didn't try it, but prices seemed fair. There are rest rooms and "showers". Warning that the showers are buckets with a fossett. It was fine for us. Lastly, please clean up after yourselves. Unfortunately, we did see some trash on some parks of the beach. Place is worth it if you can't make it to the Phi Phi Islands and want to get away for the whole day. It's definitely beautiful, but if you are going to any other islands, I say you can skip it.
