This temple has a urinal with an amazing view over the harbour. You can buy some incense earn some merit. The caves in the back are cool. Chao Pho Khao Yai Shrine lis located on a hill away from Thewawong Pier to the north of the island. According to Lonely Planet this ornate dragon-infested temple dates back to the days when Chinese traders anchored in the sheltered waters. During New Year in February, the island is packed with Chinese tourists. There are shrine caves, multiple platforms and a good view of the island and sea. It's just north of the main town.

A popular Chinese style temple on a mountain, fantastic view , many stairs to climb up to the top A must visit when you are at Ko Sichang Ask your hotel to arrange a full day tour costing 250 - 300 baht visiting few places of interest Will come again next time

Lovely Chinese temple and shrine on the island. One can be sitting in a gondola being pulled up by a gigantic diesel engine. Once arrived on top you have a breathtaking view over the island and constant fresh and cool breezes from the Gulf of Thailand. Temple is well maintained and clean. Go for a visit it is worthwhile. Recommended

The place is clean and quiet. Climbing up the steps is relatively easy, not so high. My suggestion is to go further up to the top of the mountain where the footprint of Buddha is situated. The panoramic view up there is breathtaking.

The most impressive part of the shrine is located up in the natural caves, where the believers attach red stripes of paper with wishes written on them in many languages. Among many religious figures especially prominent are the strange golden Buddha and stern-faced Monkey god Hanuman. Great view on the island and the bay from the terrace. You can also take a funicular, but it's not much fun and probably useful mostly for the elderly or disabled. The way up to the Buddha footprint is exhausting and rewards you with some nice panoramas, yet the footprint itself is rather underwhelming -- must have spiritual meaning for the devout, though.
