Create an itinerary including Albert Cuyp Market
Buy fruits, vegetables, sweets, and clothes at Albert Cuyp Market, the largest street market in the capital city. Following a tradition since 1904, vendors in 300 stalls sell a wide range of products bursting with colors and smells. You can get anything from fish and cameras to makeup and spices. In addition, the prices are usually lower than at regular shops. Look for typical products from Africa and the Middle East, and quench your thirst at some of the numerous ethnic cafes and bars that surround the market. Work out when and for how long to visit Albert Cuyp Market and other Amsterdam attractions using our handy Amsterdam trip planner.

  • Great place to wander, shop, get some food. Enjoyable walk, would do it again. Some of the local produce was really good.

  • Slightly touristic market, but still very characteristic, with stands that make fresh stroopwafels and others with fantastic french fries. If you like local markets, or if you are passing by De Pijp.....  more

  • Nice city market where you can find large range of products, nicely cooked food, fresh vegetables and fruits and fish, dresses (not really good quality), souvenirs, beauty products. Good prices. I suggest to go there on lunch time and try différents street food from all over the world, Holland pancakes, oriental dishes.
  • Cute market with tons of food options! Also- great selection of shops full of souvenirs. Cute wooden tulip flowers, tulip flower pencils, postcards, magnets, t shirts, canvas bags and so much more.
  • Near to railway and lots of things to see. Recommend to come at noon because i came at 10am and they were mostly still setting up shop. Lots of food and souvenirs to buy if u want, or else just enjoy the market!
  • I got here pretty late, near 4 pm on a weekday. Not so many people, nor so many stands.. The plants shop is great! All plants are vibrant! Got a white rose eventually, only for 2 Euro! And now they are blooming. Pretty!
  • A very interesting open market. There is literally so much to do here even without buying anything. Just walking down can take a couple of hours. There are so many interesting booths that you do not find anywhere else. Painting you as a cartoon cap personalized weird disgusting food etc etc. You'll never know if you won't come here yourself.
