  • Nice square with a lot of restaurants and bars. Has more to do than dam square in my opinion, and not as crowded. The square was built In 1660, and its name was taken from the gate which stood there until 1862 and was the gate from which people arrived from thet city of Leiden. Interestingly, The original reason for the construction of the square was to be a parking place for the carriages of those who arrived to the city
  • A good place to hangout in the evening. Very crowded during the weekends but its a vibe. Lots of options get food or drinks. And also get some shopping done
  • It's a great place to go. Has everything you're looking for. Restaurants, cafes, fast food places and a great variety of stores. Walk around with time to discover hidden gems. Easy to go from anywhere in the city. Trams take you there fast and comfortable. Always crowded, but you can find a place for you.
  • Kind service, fresh air staying outside, great if the weather is fine. Just in center of the city. They are helpful if you don’t wanna eat bacon.
  • Lots of view points and eateries close by. Vondelpark, Holland casino and Rijksmeuseum are walking distance from this place. You are well connected to Dam square via trams. So many cafes and souvenir shops around
