  • Not much to see inside. For a large fortress you would expect to see more. Rooms, sleeping quarters, kitchens, gun powder and weapons depo for all the soldiers once camped in here, etc. Nothing of...

  • The castle is probably the most important sight that you can visit in Çesme. It's quiet close to the harbor and settled on a tiny hill. But don't let the little hill fool you, it's still quiet steep! But this short effort is a must do! From the top of the castle you can enjoy an amazing view onto the sea. The castle apparently also contains a museum.
  • We visited the castle in about 1h. There are several exposition inside the castle showing ancient currency, history of the close by wars, pottery and glass making. The exterior of the castle is really good for picture of the city and sea. Part of the visit is on top of the castle walls, which can be really hot during summer days
  • My visit to the castle in Çesme was quite enjoyable. The location is easy to access and has a great view. The content within is satisfactory, carrying a variation from ancient items on display to more recent, 18th century ones. One can freely walk inside the castle and visit its numerous chambers and walkways. The only negative was waiting on queue outside to get in, unprotected from the sun. Overall, definitely worth a visit.
  • Wonderful place, very peaceful and clean place. Loved the walk way around the marina, never crowded and good for photo shooting, with various coffee shops and restaurants and wide range of cousins. The sun set was majestic, got the chance to see one of the cruise 🚢 that was docking at Çeşme and watch it sailing by the sun set Various decorated shops of quality and branded goods with reasonable prices, however the restaurants were overpriced, although the food was delicious Recommend to spend afternoon in this area if you are nearby.
  • Very beautiful view from castle. The castle is well designed that has many levels and good museum too. It's kind of perfect match between castle and fort.
