Create an itinerary including Iztuzu Beach 2
Iztuzu Beach 2 is a narrow but long stretch of sand that acts as a barrier between the Dalyan River and the Mediterranean Sea. With 4.5 km (2.79 mi) of sand, it rarely feels crowded. Often referred to as "Turtle Beach," it is a main breeding ground for these creatures, which you're sure to catch sight of. The federal government has made efforts to protect the species, leaving the area untouched and restricting public access for periods of time. While this may be frustrating for some, it is the reason the beach has retained its original beauty. That said, check ahead to make sure it's open to the public during your stay. Put Iztuzu Beach 2 on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Dalyan journey planner.

  • We all went to the beach three times during our stay, and one of our favourite places. The beach cafe was amazing and staff both friendly and helpful.

  • One of the most fascinating beach I have ever been. Humans share the beach with turtles as they come and lay their eggs here at night time in certain time of the year. It closes at 8pm and it is protected. The entry fee is only 30tl. Stunning view and clean shallow waters are perfect for max relaxation. The beach has a great restaurant to eat. The staff can communicate in English. They are also super friendly and professional. It is hard to find a beach in Turkey which is rubbish free so this beach ticks all the boxes for me. Don’t forget to visit Turtle hospital which is located behind the beach. This beach also has disability access.
  • Beautiful beach, clean and well organized ..surrounded by mountains There we can sometimes see big turtles called caretta caretta when they show their heads out of water!! There are two sides of beach, first to see is like river water and about 200 to 300 meters ahead is another side of beach which is the sea side...there are sufficient toilets (but not so clean)and changing rooms for women and men... Also a cafeteria selling all what you need to eat or drink on beach
  • It is amazing! #1. Weather is so good with breeze #2. Water is so warm #3. It is very big sand beach, you can swim so far away. #4. It has mountain surroundings with such a view! #5. On the way by cruise, you could see so many things as well! #6. Turtles are so cool! Enjoy!
  • One of the best beaches in the world. Golden sand and warm sea is great! There is plenty of parking space which is reasonably priced (30 tl per day). The municipality services are great (40tl per sun bed) and cheap food (35-45 tl for a sandwich or doner kebab). If you go there early (before 10am) sea is reasonably calmer than afternoons. Even the sea is wavy in the afternoon because of shallow waters it is not a safety concern but a lot of fun! You can also walk to the Turtle Hospital and see caretta carettas. 100% recommended!
  • Beautiful and clean. Lounger 80turkish lira for 2. Very good and cheap food also here.
