At Kekova Island, view the ruins of the ancient Lycian sunken city, Simena, through crystal clear waters. The residential areas of the city became partly submerged when a series of destructive earthquakes in the 2nd century caused a downward shift in the land. Hop on a glass-bottom boat tour leaving from Kekova Island, Kas, or Ucagiz to view the underwater staircases and foundations, as swimming here is banned. You can take a dip in one of the many other inlets and keep an eye out for sea life, such as fish and sea turtles.
