Cookistan Istanbul Cooking Classes, Istanbul

Cookistan was hands down the highlight of my time in Istanbul and I’d recommend it to anyone - whether it’s your first or fiftieth time visiting Turkey, this is such a unique, fun, & intimate way to get to know the food and culture of the country. Aysin was such a joy - a great teacher & made me feel right at home in her gorgeous kitchen. I’m vegetarian and she made sure I had plenty of options that stayed true to traditional Turkish cuisine. Aside from the experience being so wonderful, everything we cooked was absolutely delicious (we made plenty, and I was able to take my leftovers too!). All in all, I can’t recommend this experience enough - make it part of your Istanbul itinerary!

This is by far the best cooking class in Istanbul! You not only cook but you get a mini tour of the neighborhood, a little history, and great cooking instructors. Very profesional and well organized. If you are in Istanbul you have to experience this!

What an amazing experience! The entire night just flew by. My husband and I were paired with another couple and along with our 2 great hosts, shared a wonderful, informative, personable experience. The set up of the space is absolutely gorgeous. What a treat to sit and chat and get to know one and other in such an environment while snacking on local baked goods. What followed was a very fun and smooth process of making 6 different authentic Turkish dishes. The instructions were clear and easy. Will be strongly recommending this to anyone I know going to visit Istanbul.

Fantastic cooking experience. I was not aware I can make such food. Friendly, supportive staff, extremely nice place. You can spend great time there learning cooking and Turkish specifics.

I had a wonderful time! Our host was very knowledgeable and super laid back and friendly. She explained lots of history of Turkish food. It’s all hands on and you get to taste your creations at the end. I highly recommend her and it’s worth every penny!
