Trunk Bay Beach
Watch the crystalline water gently whirling around cliffs and crags, lapping the soft coral sands of one of the most pristine beaches in the Caribbean at Trunk Bay Beach. Rent snorkel gear and discover colorful sea life along the underwater trail of reefs. The inviting, warm waters are perfect for underwater photography enthusiasts. When you have had enough of swimming and basking in the tropical sun, cool off with a frozen cocktail or dine at one of the romantic restaurants. The shade of the national park hides many hiking trails for you to explore. Look for the ruins of historic sugar plantations, remnants of the colonial past. Note that the beach gets overcrowded sometimes. Put Trunk Bay Beach on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Virgin Islands National Park tour itinerary planner.

The most beautiful beach I've ever been to! Can't wait to go back!! We went to the far left and had our own little secluded beach between the rocks.Perfect for pictures and privacy!

Bucket list beach! White sand, pristine water, clean amenities. About 15 minutes by car from the ferry. Get there by 10 AM to snag parking, and carve yourself a spot in a prime location. Be prepared to pay up, though. They charge a $5 entry fee per person. And the food there is also $$$. But all in all, a must-visit place!

Amazing beach so cool. Must see. Stop the car right now and go.

$5/adult (young children are free) at the entrance for amenities including a lifeguard, showers, food, drinks, on-site rental equipment, etc., so this beach fills up quickly. Unfortunately for us on the day we visited they decided to close the showers down early which was disappointing so mother nature sent us a warm rain shower instead which was magical! Great snorkeling here around the cay and to the right near the rocks where large shoals of minnows spawn attracting predators and larger fish. We were fascinated watching the brown pelicans dive bomb the little schools of fish over and over. We also spotted a stingray, giant tarpon, and a moon jelly.

So THAT is the reason they paint swimming pools in that weird unnatural shade of blue. I had to take this photo or otherwise my friends in New Jersey would never believe me.
