I bought a ticket for 5pm to see the light show together starting at 6:30pm. I thought I would be able to see it all in a short time, but before I even entered the palace, I only spent more than an hour to enjoy the scenery in the yard. The inside of the palace was splendid and dazzling beyond words. (Personally, I can't find any reason to go to the nearby emirates palace hotel.)

Nice to get royal treatment. Expect to spend around 2 hours inside. Dress nicely to fit with the ambiance. It is all indoor so you don’t have to worry about the weather

It's also called the presidential palace. The architecture is extremely beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The washrooms are also as grand as the palace. There was a light show in the evening which was nice too. Do give a visit when in Abu Dhabi
