Create an itinerary including Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum
Visit the former home of the late founder of the nation at Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum. Built in 1910, the palace displays striking architecture, with large courtyards and tiered towers located within high palace walls. A museum since 1998, the palace showcases art contemporary to the rule of Sheikh Zayed, tells the story of his political and private biography, and details what life was like at the palace. Tour the grounds and enjoy the exhibits, which are set across multiple ornate majlis (rooms for receiving visitors). • We stopped by here for a little over an hour to see all the various parts of the palace. There is not much in the way of AC nor reading materials, mostly just seeing how people lived several decades.....  more

  • Gives an insight into the way of life before the discovery of oil changed the landscape and fortune. Well maintained. Entry is free. A series of small buildings within the courtyard.

  • Such a beautiful, serene place to visit. There were lots of great spots for photoshoot. Went here to do quick snaps of my daughter in her National Day outfit. Photos turned out great. 💯 Parking & entrance are free. The best time to go is during the golden hours because the sunset view is awemazing!!!! 😍
  • It’s such a beautiful place where there is so much of a history. People who like to history this is a must visit place. Structure and garden is maintained so nicely. There is no entry fee. It would take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to see
  • Beautiful place to explore and learn about the history of Abu Dhabi. Loved how they have managed to keep up the old history alive to date. This is one place that you should not miss when you are in Al Ain.
  • Lovely place ; very welcoming staff; the rooms exhibit the life style of royal family and their guests. We visited after 5:30 pm; we enjoyed the serenity of the weather of cooling breeze coming from oasis side (that is just 200 meters away ) and warm sunset light over the castle’s walls.
  • As a foreign traveler, I was pleasantly surprised by the Al Ain Palace Museum. The museum offers a unique glimpse into the history and culture of the United Arab Emirates, and is a must-see for anyone visiting Al Ain. The exhibits are well-curated and provide a comprehensive overview of the region's past. The palace itself is also a beautiful piece of architecture, and the gardens surrounding it are a peaceful oasis in the bustling city. I highly recommend a visit to this museum for anyone interested in learning more about the UAE's rich history and culture.
