Create an itinerary including Drusillas Park
Local and exotic animals are neighbors at Drusillas Park, where you'll also find a variety of hands-on activities. Although the animal population of the zoo grows every year, the zoo's policy is to house only small creatures. This policy is meant to appeal to the younger children who frequent the zoo for its educational activities and adventure play area with swings, slides, and an indoor soft play center. A large variety of primates populate the trees within the zoo: Capuchin monkeys, Colobus monkeys, macaques, and Lar gibbons. • Whilst we had a lovely visit, I felt the cost was extortionate, 2 adults and one 3 year old cost £88! Never worth it, it was a chilly day so most of the animals were inside which meant we looked at...

  • Lots of monkeys and birds to see. A perfect day out for children under 12. Lots of nice things to see and do and a couple of fun little rides at the end. Went during half term. Used vouchers so worth the visit. Recommend to take a picnic to save ££
  • It was a great day out kids loved every second of it spent most the day there from opening and spent out time going round to take I all the animals. Then we did did the paving for gold and the inflatable slide with the kids loved and follow that with the water park. Then a train ride and onto the fairground rides All in all it was great and we got annual passes so will be going back again
  • We visited on a Sunday and hadn't been there for a good few years but it hadn't appeared to have changed too much. The animals are still the best thing about the park with a wide variety and great knowledge/fact boards around each enclosure. The staff are always more than happy to answer any questions and talk about the animals. The sloths were a high point and looked amazing. Once you get through the animal section you're in the children's play area, while the majority is free, a lot of the activities aren't which, considering it was £33 each (for both adult and child tickets), seemed a but unfair. The new attraction called Spark was heavily promoted but once you get there it too has a charge, and also was entirely booked up for the day according to the guy on the Spark entrance desk, so that didn't help with the kids moods, or mine. The train hasn't changed a bit and is still highly entertaining (for me anyway). The rides that were free were great and on the day we visited they weren't busy at all. Overall it's worth a visit for the animals, but be prepared for difficult child conversations when it comes to the playground.
  • Lovely zoo and play park for the primary and junior school aged kids. Plenty of animals which are well looked after. The play area is big with lots of slides swings and walkways. We purchased the tickets on the day and our kids had a wonderful day. tickets can be purchased online, but the date cannot be changed or refunded, we did this last month but our daughter caught chicken pox and couldn't go, shame that online tickets cannot be refunded or changed even in exceptional circumstances.
  • This is a really great family day out, just very expensive! We won free tickets, otherwise for a family of 4 for one day out, out is out of our price range, as I imagine it is for many. That said, we had a wonderful time. It was August and probably the busiest it gets, and still there was plenty of space to see the animals. Some areas were very crowded, but we didn't queue that long for anything. All the staff we interacted with were really friendly and helpful, even though they must have been so hot! Our 4 year old seemed to enjoy it more than our 6 year old. Almost everything is included in the ticket price, including all the rides, so it was great that we could say lots of yeses!
