  • A great walk, hills for as far as the eye can see. Slightly steep in places for some walkers, but a great walk for a few hours passing lots of wildlife.
  • A fairly easy walk. You can park at Birthwood and make the short walk along the road to the start of the path. Initially, there is a fairly steep climb. Shooting butts at regular intervals provide good resting stops as well as places to aim for. Shortly after the last butt is a steeping climb. At the top of this, the climb eases off with one more short climb to the top of the gentle plateau that leads to the top of the hill. Reached the top in about 1 hour with a 8 year old. Rewarded with great views, particularly to the north and east. Give it a go!
  • A challenge! Really steep for most of the hill. Fantastic views. The peace and quiet is beautiful.
  • Great place approached from the gill to the north. Boggy to the south but great views.
  • Fantastic views from the top but path is boggy with several false summits :-(
