Create an itinerary including Blair Castle & Gardens
Included as part of Cairngorms National Park at the request of the people of the town, the castle and gardens rest at the confluence of the Tilt and Garry Rivers among the Grampian Mountains. The beauty of the area, and its location on the rivers, attracted wealthy landowners over the past few centuries. Consequently, the area is dotted with estates, including Blair Castle & Gardens, one of Scotland's most notable stately homes. This castle is home to the Duke of Atholl, the only duke in the UK who is allowed to raise his own army. The army, known as the Atholl Highlanders, conducts social and ceremonial events on the castle grounds. Visit over 30 perfectly preserved rooms and the restored gardens for one ticket fee. An on-site restaurant will help you keep your strength up during the epic tour. Plan your visit to Blair Castle & Gardens and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Pitlochry trip planning tool.

  • An absolutely stunning place to visit. We could only do the gardens as we had our dog with us, and therein lies the issue. Blair Castle is apparently dog friendly, was aware of no dogs being allowed.....  more

  • The Hercules Garden at Blair Castle is on top form, beautiful to view and a haven for wildlife. It is a credit to the gardener's care and attention.
  • Beautiful gardens and sculptures. Spent an afternoon in these gardens. Tiny buildings and a piece of history through the windows. Also apples and pears growing in abundance. Beautiful!
  • Pretty gardens! The ducks love the ripe plums 😍
  • Beautiful garden with a mass of friendly ducks
  • Large garden area. Steep path to top beds. A bit drab because of the time of year. Could be spectacular in summer.
