Bodelwyddan Castle & Park, Rhyl

This place is beautiful. Lovely surroundings and very peaceful. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spot on. Clean and roomy with iron and ironing board. Tea and coffee making in room. The food is out of this world. Food for all tastes.

We stayed in the Tudor style...Slept in a beautiful four poster bed .. Lovely white bathrobes for our use and a complimentary bottle of wine, biscuits and crisps were left as a welcoming gift. There was entertainment to suit everybody... Swimming pool..sauna..tropical room..keep fit studio.. quizzes..curling and shoveboard.. Archery and rifle shooting was also on offer.. Evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss needs upgrading.. The cuisine was absolutely excellent....catered for everybody's taste...well cooked..displayed in a manner that was tasteful and also plentiful...it was so good I put on 5lbs as couldn't resist what was on offer....Every day was different... When booking if you have a problem with stairs please mention it as a lot of the rooms can only be reached by stairs..

Fantastic adventure for all ages the castle inside was most impressive they also have WW1 trenches that the army trained the soldiers in before going to war plus so much more good value for money

Drove for many miles to get here only to find the castle closed with no staff on site, no information to say why either. No hangs written sign, nothing on the website either. It was well within opening hours on a day they are meant to be open. The car park is by the adjacent Castle hotel who had to direct us how to get to the castle as there were not any signs directly you there. The only signs around were pertaining to the castle hotel.

First visit. Nice staff, good cafe. Loved the grounds but the house/castle has been stripped of all that is historical due to council cuts. The council should give it to the National Trust or Cadw who know how to run a historic property.
