With a bend toward conservation, Welsh Mountain Zoo houses many endangered species, such as snow leopards, Sumatran tigers, and Andean condors. A wide range of other mammals, birds, and reptiles also make their home in the park. Explore the Media Centre, which is filled with educational games for children, and watch some of the featured animal shows that are available throughout the day. While the animals live with ample space (15 hectares or 37 acres), the design of the park makes it easy for you to get up close. Its hilltop location makes the surrounding environment part of the experience. Because of the hilly terrain, wheelchair accessibility is limited. A very expensive entry price considering there are actually hardly any animals to see. There is 1 sea lion, 2 bears, chimpanzees, meerkats and an alligator! Unfortunately that is literally about it...

After a day at this zoo, we spent more time on average than we would at a normal zoo in search of animals. The signs and map are absolutely shocking. We got lost so many time and ended up on a road...

A very good zoo to go too, not too big and can easily see everything in 4 hours, you could easily spend all day here. Events on each day showing the animals off. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend coming here instead of the bigger zoos. It has everything. As it's in Wales expect some slopes when walking around.

This zoo is child friendly. The staff we interacted with were lovely. We took our 21/2 grandson and he loved it He loved using the signposts around the zoo to get round along with the map of the zoo. We took a pushchair but he walked the whole time. If you struggle walking it does get steep in some parts. As it says it's a mountain or side of one. The views are stunning in some parts of the zoo. Not a load of animals like other zoos but still a good variety. We are going back and going to buy a years membership. Worth every penny.

Really good local zoo with a great collection of animals. The zoo has a great layout and you can easily spend most of the day there. There are superb views out to see and of the surrounding hills in the distance. Really reasonably priced for what you get. Plenty of free parking on site. Is quite hilly, can imagine that provides some accessibility difficulties for some. Well worth a visit. Cafe is simply fine, could be better.

Fantastic place to visit. Lots of variety of animals and the surrounding landscape gardens are gorgeous. Perfect for my toddler who loves to explore. There are accessible toilets and cafe. Some terrain is a bit harder to walk around than others but they've made it as accessible as possible.

Would highly recommend going to this zoo! The animal enclosures are great, you can see the animals from all angles. We were very impressed with how close we got to the brown bears 😄 The flower borders are very stunning also, lots of hard work has definitely gone into maintaining the gardens they were beautiful! This is definitely our new favourite zoo 😊
