  • When I visited there was a storm blowing through which added even more character to the ruined tower! Parking isn't plentiful and there's no information about the ruin when you arrive, nor is there...

  • A wonderful experience for me. Highly recommend a stop if you can. It is in ruins, not to bad for the age.
  • Beautiful village and the Clyde is lovely. We could find no one to ask, so we jumped the fence. We took nothing and would have put a £ 5 note in a box if the owner had put one out. #wearecrawfords
  • Only a very small castle worth a visit if your local or just passing by
  • A magical place. My flatmate wanted to go as it was her ancestors home many years past (not the castle but the village). The castle is remote and ruined but there is still enough of it standing for it to be very worthwhile visiting. And it is just the castle, no intrusive signs or modern additions which gives a special quality missing from some such places.
  • Very limited parking and a small walk to the castle. Lovely views of the hills and river as well.
