Skye Weavers, Isle of Skye

We visited today and had a really enjoyable time, watching and then attempting ourselves to pedal the loom. The shop was also fab and I couldn't resist buying some tweed to make into some cushions when I get home. Our friends from Copenhagen also enjoyed the visit. Thank you both for keeping such a wonderful craft alive.

Wonderful place to visit.. There is small factory and small shop to buy decent quality items they are produced with a local wool. We buy two beautiful scarfs. I’m very appropriate that we visited on closer day, but the owner was super lovely to open the door for us.

Very friendly family run business, Roger took time to explain the entire weaving process which was fascinating. Picked up some amazing quality, well made pieces for very reasonable prices! Will definitely be back next time i visit Skye

My husband and I visited the shop today and did not expect to see the workshop where Roger was working on weaving a piece. We were instantly greeted by Roger who invited us in to take a look at the loom. He was very friendly and explained a lot about the process. He was very knowledgeable about the wool and weaving process and gladly answered all of our questions. We were even able to have a go at pedalling! Behind the workshop is their shop selling their products - scarves, throws, pillows, some clothing, etc... There was a nice assortment of items and colours. Something for everyone. The prices were very reasonable - buy here and not from one of the over-priced touristy shops! Here, you get quality, nice conversation and a product created on Skye.

So glad we visited, very interesting process and we were allowed to try the bicycle ourselves! Bought a beautiful bed runner and a blanket as a unique souvenir
