Take in the verdant scenery and enchanting mysticism of Fairy Glen. Climb up and down the slopes of the small hills and look out for any fairies. Legend has it that they have lived in the glen for centuries. Visit the Castle Ewen, a tower like feature, and discover stone designs made by visitors, or perhaps the fairies themselves. If you’re a confident hiker, head up the narrow path to the top of tower and be rewarded with views of the rolling countryside. Walking boots are recommended, as the glen can get muddy and slippery. Don’t forget to make a wish. Make Fairy Glen a part of your Isle of Skye vacation plans using our Isle of Skye sightseeing planner.

Absolutely stunning! Would love to go back just to see this again. So much to see and a wonderful hiking trail. Clean facilities and decent parking are available.

Out of all of Skye the Fairy Glen paid off. We had warm sunshine and the place was just beautiful. The hike not hard at all and not overly crowded.

Very beautiful landscape! All the little hills around are just beautiful and the big rock is amazing to climb up on to get a view around. It is quite steep and sometimes narrow. There's also a waterfall to see in the distance. The fairy circle is interesting, but not spectacular. There are also quite a few tourists around. We spent about 1h here, there is parking close by for fairly cheap.

Stay at the Uig hotel ,great little place to stay. Walk the road into the fairy glen. You go by sheep & cow farms , and great scenery of the harbour before dropping into the valley. Stayed here for a couple hours , climb the spire & the view is amazing. Weather changes FAST here so bring everything !

It's a fairly short walk from the car park. You can take cool pics of your group on the various high spots. There are two waterfalls too far in the distance to photograph. Free to enter but you need to pay upfront for pay and display parking. No toilets.

As per my thought. This place is a bit over hyped. Trust me in Isle of Skye you can have more beautiful places than this. Somehow this place is overrated and may be that’s why more people come and visit. This doesn’t mean the place has any flaw or something. A bit far from the parking area and then small hiking through the steep and narrow walking trail. If raining it could be muddy and slippery so be careful. Children can definitely have good fun as they can roll up and down to the hillocks. Round circle I don’t know did not seem any meaning to me. But probably you may have fun their. Parking: yes, big parking nearby and also can park on the road side Toilet: no toilets

Spectacular place! We visited here with a 2 year old, 6 year old and a 7 year old plus 4 adults… we were blown away! It was so much fun for all of us. There is so much to explore and so many sights to see. Rolling down the hills was definitely an all round favourite!Thankfully the weather was mostly sunny & dry with the odd hale shower but regardless of weather it is a magical place. Also, the roads aren’t nearly as treacherous as you’d think, so the drive here is easy.
