Marvel at views of a 61 m (200 ft) high sea cliff at Kilt Rock, named for its likeness to the folded pleats of a kilt. Gaze out across the Sound of the Isle of Rona and of Wester Ross. Watch the waterfall crash into the sea, with a view of Kilt Rock in the distance. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Isle of Skye holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Kilt Rock and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Extremely busy! One of the busiest attractions in the highlands. Very over rated in my opinion. 60m dropping waterfall was pretty cool. But it is very busy at the edge where you can see it and wasn't worth the hassle of all the people when there are lots of other prettier views on Skye.
  • Beautiful waterfall. I drove up here after my hike to the Old man of Storr for sunrise. I recommend to come here in the morning to avoid crowds and to get the best light.
  • Easy stop on main road between Storr and Staffin free car park but no facilities, lovely views across to mainland and good photo opportunity of waterfall and Kilt rock
  • Stunning views and gorgeous cliffs
  • This incredible view spot not only gave us amazing views of the tartan looking Kilt Rock and the waterfalls but furthermore overlooks the ocean and we were fortunate enough to see dolphins 🐬 whales 🐋 and sharks 🦈 We love the Isle of Skye anyway but this was one of them memories that will last a lifetime. Well worth a visit 5 stars all the way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
