  • WE visited this museum last Friday for the first time in years! Its not the largest museum but its so very interesting. THe little streets are brilliantly put together, fascinating. So worth a visit.

  • Visited on a misty damp Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised as it doesn’t look much from the outside. The Victorian street with shops and a pub was great and the old toys exhibition upstairs.....  more

  • Recreation of old Leeds street with plenty of exhibits to stop and reminisce. Not over cheap at £6 a head but a family ticket costs just under £14. Worth wandering through the Kirkstall Abbey ruins....  more

  • Small yet wonderful museum. Ground floor has range of shops and streets in Victorian era, and upstairs is featured with childhood collections and toys, magazines from 1960s. Staffs are very friendly and helpful
  • I totally love this place! This is my first ever museum visit in England and the Abbey House Museum made it really special. I like the story telling that begins at the ground floor(with Victorian times) and then transforms as you go up to the second floor. You see the transition in the way of life of children, families and even music has shaped the Abbey House and it's environs. There are also really cool stuff to learn. 😊
  • I was expecting something bigger but I wasn’t disappointed. It’s quite small but absolutely amazing! I visited during the Halloween week and they added so many decorations around the Victorian streets. It was so beautiful! You can enter inside some shops and there are little details everywhere. You really feel like you traveled back in time. Upstairs there’s also a museum about the childhood in Victorian era. It was very interesting and nice!
  • Loved the ground floor of the building - Very nicely done. However, we didn’t quite enjoy the first floor. (Personal opinion, of course). But in general, the place is worth visiting and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
  • This place made me think of the York Museum, which is one of my favourite museums in the UK. Loved every second I spent here and I will definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoys a walk through history.
