Create an itinerary including Roundhay Park
One of the largest city parks in all of Europe, Roundhay Park is a collection of woodland, lakes, and landscaped grounds. Bring a picnic in the good weather months, or hike through the woodland and enjoy the local plant and animal life. Inside the Canal Gardens are a group of greenhouses, each protecting plants from different climates. Enter Tropical World inside the Coronation House to discover one of the largest collections of tropical flora in the United Kingdom. Inside, butterflies and aquariums fill the rooms with color. On your way to the "Tropical World" entrance, you'll pass through a rose garden that was once a vegetable garden for the mansion. Be sure to check out Monet's Garden, where you may recognize the garden path at Giverny from his 1902 painting of the same name. • What a lovely place this is, so spacious and lovely walks. I took a walk around the lake, it's a steady walk not strenuous at all. The swans i found were quite friendly and can get quite close to them, be careful with kids tho.. A lovely morning walk which I shall do again in the future.
  • This park is one of the most beautiful and natural place in Leeds. You can come with your friends or family or even alone and sit on side of lake for long time and can feel the natural beauty. If you want to spend relaxing time then definitely i will recommend this place for you. The most amazing thing is walking around the lake and feeling the fresh air with natural view just sitting and thinking deeply. 👍🏼❤️.
  • Very big Park in Leeds, you can spend most your time here... walking path is very smooth. There's a cricket ground, a little play gym for kids, water side, beautiful views, best place for picnic with friends and family, excellent car parking, Ice cream station and food cafe area 😋 10/10... Best place to get relax and spend the time for yourself... There's a tropical garden near by.. if you are fancy for a little zoo type...
  • Lovely park! The council and local groups do a great job of maintaining the park. Parking can be an issue when busy, but there are a plethora of transport options other than by car. Just be thoughtful to local residents and park considerately. Along with my visit to the park, I attended the Monet Gardens which were a pleasant surprise. You don't often find such a great addition to a council park. LCC have done a wonderful job with the reconstruction of their Chelsea Flower Show contributions. I think the park offers everyone a great day out. You will never be bored when visiting here, there is an abundance of history located all over the park and events are regularly held across the year.
  • The park is beautiful in general. We went last night for the Christmas lights and wow what a waste of money! 19.50 for some lights and music and they have even charged 15 pounds for children. Was a little a bit over the top? The whole experience was pretty good and a nice family evening out.
