Centre point of historic town and at the bottom of the road leading to the palace which is well worth a visit. Linlithgow is a lovely town with nice eateries, independent shops and great walks.
-
Apart from the Cross Well, go to Linlithgow it is steeped in history, a gem in West Lothian's crown. The town itself has some lovely individual shops, great cafes/bar, great chippies. Beecraigs not far away either..u can fill your day easily in this great place, young & not so young. Give it a go u wont regret it.

Lovely relaxing area with multiple café restaurants all around
-
Load of coffee and tea shops around this square. The well is also very close to the palace. The well itself does not serve water. It looks more like a little monument. No benches but still very nice. It demarks the heart of Linlithgow.
-
Very beautuful place to take a picture. Many cafes around this monument look so lovely too. Nice place to visit as a tourist!
