  • Somerset House is beautiful and is worth looking around while you are there. The art collection is very good with many recognizable paintings.

  • This art gallery is beautiful. It was not crowded or noisy like a large museum. We enjoyed leisurely strolling through the peaceful, uncrowded rooms and sitting on the benches gazing at the world famous art. The gallery isn’t very big but it houses world famous art from the early Renaissance to the 20th century. We enjoyed the Impressionist paintings the most where Van Gogh’s iconic self portrait Bandaged Ear is on display. Claude Monet and other famous painters share this space. If you love art, this is marvelous place to spend some time.
  • Went for the Van Gogh's self portrait exhibition in April 2022, ended up enjoying the impressionist paintings more, away from the crowd. Huge collection from middle age to contemporary time. Will surely visit the gallery again.
  • I went the gallery for the first time for Van Gogh exhibition and I wish I have been here more often. The exhibition featured a great range of Van Gogh's self- portraits, allowing you to see the change in his art style and technique. There was certain time when the exhibition room could be very busy. If you hang around a tad longer, there should be quiet time and more space to enjoy the painting. You can also see the works of Monet, Manet and many other great artists in the gallery. I didn't have much time after the exhibition so couldn't give myself enough time to enjoy these artworks. Will definitely visit the gallery again.
  • It’s definitely worth a visit. Medium sized, spacious and well ventilated, and with historical displays of art. I’ve been to two exhibitions it held so far, and both were quite unique and very classical in their style.
  • Never a bad visit: check out new exhibition or come see anything from the permanent collections. And now, in Festive Season, it could be a great day out in combo with a skating ring etc.
