Forth Bridge, a cantilever railway bridge over the Firth of Forth, is a popular tourist destination for travelers worldwide. It is sometimes referred to as the Forth Rail Bridge to distinguish it from the Forth Road Bridge, though this has never been an official title. Plans are in action to build a visitor’s center as well as a viewing platform at the top of the bridge. Soon, you may be able to walk up the track to the southern tower, 100 m (330 ft) above sea level. This bridge has also been featured regularly in popular culture. You can find it in the film The 39 Steps by Alfred Hitchcock, in the novel The Bridge by Iain Banks, in various advertisements, and even in the video game Grand Theft Auto. • Beautiful. The best bridge in the world. Like a lovely red Meccano structure. The shape of it is magnificent. South Queensferry is a lovely little place.

  • I absolutely love the Forth Bridges...I could gaze at them all day. The rail bridge, in particular, is my favourite. The architecture is breathtaking!

  • Really good bridge. Looks really strong and sturdy, and you'd hope so, as the trains use it! Particularly excels at going from one side of the Forth to the other. All while being easy on the eye! Really good bridge, a well earned 5 stars from me!
  • You probably encountered it on 20£ Scottish note , and its even more Iconic if seen live. Recent road development make whole area more tourist friendly and one way system make traffic flow smooth , therefore any visit will be more pleasant than ever before. Interesting history behind this bridge makes it a perfect spot to bring friends or kids ,and educate them. Plenty of Coffee shops and restaurants in this area ,will help to survive your visit.
  • Great place you can see how big this bridge is and how high trains runs amazing. I was first time in Edinburgh but definitely I want back for longer and anjoy close this place because is definitely worth it.
  • Such a wonderful sight!! The sheer scale of this bridge is what always captivates me. Such an impressive monument to man's engineering achievements. See it at night to appreciate the lights and a totally different atmosphere than during the day
  • Beautiful bridge. Learning about the history of how it had to be rebuilt/over built with a new engineer after a tragedy when it collapsed and 75 people died back in the day.
