Create an itinerary including Chesterfield Canal
The Chesterfield Canal Trust is a charitable company run entirely by volunteers, incorporated in July 1997. In 1998 it took over the assets of the former Chesterfield Canal Society (founded 1976).

The aims of the Trust are to promote the full restoration and appropriate development of the Chesterfield Canal, and to campaign for the construction of the Rother Valley Link, a navigable waterway to join the Chesterfield Canal to the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation.

  • Great place to exercise, see a little nature and enjoy the past. After being in a 10 day quarantine for traveling to the UK I good not ask for a better place to get outside and get some exercise...

  • Wonderful walks to be had along the Cuckoo Way. There is something therapeutic about walking by the water and always wanting to know what's around the next bend. My favourite section is Kiveton Park to Shireoaks.
  • Need a break, love a slow pace of life, like narrowboats, enjoy the history of the canals, it's all here to soak up and enjoy. Try it you may just fall in love with it all and develop a thirst for more.
  • One of the best canals on the system. It's blissfully under used. Passing opposing canal boats can be hard if you're in the wrong bit. This is a really rewarding, quite technical canal.
  • Love the canal walk it most days, the wife also does πŸšΆβš“πŸ‘
  • Great walks all along the length of this canal. Worksop to Kiveton Park stretch is the best underfoot or if pushing a pushchair
