  • Library is a distracting term. Unless you are a registered researcher, you are not going to be in the library! But, on this site is a interesting review of the career of Ike, from his early army...

  • This was a pilgrimage for me. Not many people spend their whole lives in service to their country. If you drive by Abilene on I-70 without stopping, you have done yourself a disservice.

  • Very nice museum worth a visit. It does a good job outlining the life of Eisenhower without getting too bogged down in minutia. The website says to plan on 3 hours, but I saw the museum in about 1 (and no, I didn't hurry). There are quite a few pieces including the actual table where the D-Day invasion was planned. Lovely grounds that are also close to the other museums, so one could park here and visit most of the other museums in town with a very short walk. My main beef is that the boyhood home was closed, the gift shop was closed and the library was closed and yet they charge the full $15. In my opinion, if they are going to close half of the facility then they should charge half of that price.
  • Wonderful museum for an extraordinary patriot 🇺🇸 Learned so much about President Eisenhower. Left truly inspired. Loved the grounds. Loved that they’ve kept up the library , museum & meditation building so well, but have left it very much of its original design. The older architecture adds to the charm. Have always regarded the Eisenhower couple with great esteem, but the visit to the museum gave even more insight to their life & presidency.
  • This is my 8th Presidential Library! I was in Olathe, KS for half marathon and went to Truman one day and Eisenhower today! The gift shop and visitor center staff are wonderful. The boy good home is closed and under “preservation.” The museum is absolutely amazing! I could have spent 3 hours alone just in the WW2 section! I learned SO MUCH about IKE and his military career! The D-Day table was one of the best pieces of history you will ever see. You truly do not understand the weight this man carried and the love for his country until you visit and read. The grounds are amazing. Peaceful. Quiet!
  • Fantastic museum honoring an incredible man. I was moved to tears multiple times throughout my visit. Highly recommend this museum, it's even better now after the renovation.
  • Very interesting museum with a lot of exhibits covering President Eisenhower’s life from childhood, through war and presidency. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are interested in history.
