  • The museum is very well done and an exciting place to visit! The exhibits are designed to allow maximum viewing ability. The labels are very educational. Staff are helpful in answering questions...

  • Absolutely amazing collection! Three floors of dinosaur tracks, skeletons, preserved fossils, and more. While some call it small it’s definitely a very complete and diverse collection with lots of various well known specimens. I spent two hours in there just because we were on a time crunch when I visited, I could spend all day with the helpful staff and interesting specimens. I would recommend to anyone taking a trip out near Amherst. Worth every second and its free to the public!
  • Really wonderful museum! A hidden gem in Amherst. We were surprised there was no entry fee and they have an impressive collection of specimens.
  • One of the largest collections of dinosaur fossils. Great collection of minerals and stones as well.
  • We deeply enjoyed this museum! The specimen drawers were a special and intimate experience that made me feel like I was in the museum archives. The care and thoughtfulness in the displays and the science education aspect were superb. The dinosaur footprints were also fascinating and the QR code videos were an awesome addition! I also really enjoy the fact that so many of the specimens were collected by the college. Despite being a "small" museum, we looked at/read everything and spent four hours here and I would definitely go back and I cannot recommend this museum enough! And the mineral collection! So incredibly good.
  • Lots of cool animals and rocks I had a good time with my mother grandfather and sister
