We biked to Mt Pollux recently and had a great time. It's several miles south of the Norwottuck Rail Trail and offers a view in all directions.

Great panoramic views, but the loop trail itself was relatively short. The signs to get to this spot are also small and very easy to miss. The road up to the parking area is incredibly narrow and can only fit one car through at a time.

Beautiful day to see the foliage

Love the scenery here. I always forget it will be more windy since it's a short drive to get here but of course still on a mountain.
-
Sad to see all the housing that has developed around Mt Pollux in view or abutting the hill. I used to go to My Pollux with friends for a 360-view picnic, or to observe the sky via a telescope brought up from Amherst College and a prof to talk about what was visible that night. Still a great place for a picnic with a 360-view, even with all the housing encroachment.

This is the most beautiful spot for both sunrise and sunset! But it has a small parking lot - get there early!
