  • Outstanding museum. We combined it with Yidstock - a Klezmer music festival during the summer. Definitely worth a visit.

  • I'm just glad I got to experience the Yiddish Book Center before I graduated from Hampshire back in 1998. It became my FAVORITE place on campus to study and write when I came back to Hampshire from Academic Leave (I wasn't on campus during the 1995-1996 Academic Year) & Field Study (Fall of 1996); in between my third & fourth years (Division II-Division III) due to the garden, and it's peaceful and tranquil meditative environment. It GREATLY enhanced Hampshire's campus overall, and is a culturally vital institution both for the Valley, and for Jewish scholars worldwide.
  • LOVE this place. Came a while ago and were given a lovely little tour. Really fascinating place to check out! Would absolutely recommend.
  • Three jabs or your out! We came from Nevada eager to explore the bookstore and donate a collection of old Yiddish books and manuscripts. Yet were turned away because we couldn’t show proof of three Covid vaccines. Seems like it would be great place to visit and support, but shameful the place has been ruined by the rigid nonsensical policies of the little tyrants on staff.
  • A wonderful spot to host an event. Plus, free ev car charging nearby.
  • They are unclear about their policies on their web site. After traveling 3 hours, I was met with a policy that is certainly extreme in Summer of 2022, that masks are mandatory. Even when a personal medical disability makes a mask dangerous to the wearer. They have the right to exclude whomever they wish. But they were irresponsible by not making clear on their web site that some people would be excluded.
