  • What an amazing experience! One of the best hikes I've ever done. More than a hike, it's an exploration. It's easy to get lost, but that is part of the fun. You need a permit to get in. You can get it a few days in advance at recreation.gov. it only costs $10. Really worth it!
  • Awesome!!!! Get the permit! It’s worth it!!!! Wasn’t sure what to expect when doing this. $10/per person for the permit and you sign up at 8am exactly 1 week (7 days) ahead of time. Have to be quick as they only allow 65 people a day. We loved this hike. We were concerned with reading all the reviews saying they got lost here or there. With that said, you WANT to get lost. It doesn’t make sense I know, but keep All Trails handy and you’ll always be able to get back to the main trail. The dead ends are the best part of this trail. A permit is required. There was no Ranger at the entrance/exit of the trailhead but we did encounter a Ranger an hour into our hike asking to see our permit! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trail or do it again in the future. We tried to take every “finger” of the trail but we still missed some. I’d do it again just to try and find more!
  • Absolute must do hike! They draw 70 people via lottery on Rec.gov, 7 days in advance. Make sure you do this if you are physically able. It is a moderately difficult hike/scramble/climbing etc, but you can make it as hard as you choose. There are 5 arches in the area that you have to work to find 4/5. Those 4 are all at dead end spots. Skull arch is amazing! 3.5 total miles was what it took us to get all 5. The last mile of the counter-clock-wise hike is some pretty difficult and have to scale and climb to get out. 10/10!!
  • This is a nutural maze for people 5 years old and above to enjoy. Everyday only 56 permits are granted and you'd better order it 7 days in advance. I would suggest to take counter clockwise route to complete this 2.1 miles adventures journey. You need to find two arches inside the maze, Skull Arch and Surprise Arch. Don't walk away from the sign "dead end ahead" if you think you are close to Surprise Arch. It took us 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete the challenge. It was fun!
  • One of my favourite viewpoints in the park. It has both panoramic views, and the fiery furnace itself, which is really cool. The Fiery Furnace is a collection of red and white hoodoos.
