  • Not quite the same since John Cram's death in 2020. My first return visit for a few years. I got the feeling some of the pieces had been there for a while.

  • This was one of our favorite art galleries. It's huge with 3 floors and many different mediums and styles.

  • Better than Museums. Been here for an hour and still not seen every thing. Modern art to contemporary to realistic to unbelievable realistic crafts but made in materials you would never think off. I am inspired very very inspired. Thank you Blue Spiral 1 gallery for these awesome works of ArtπŸ™πŸ½πŸ˜Š
  • I loved this place! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with such a warm welcome. Even the creaky, wooden floors added to the charm. We spent a couple hours perusing all three floors. The caliber of some of these pieces were just incredible! I loved Jamaal Barber's 'Blessed' piece. It was the perfect urban eclectic vibe. I'd love to see a lot more of his work. The detail of some of sculpture work, the Lion and Lioness pieces by Mary Engle in particular, was out of this world. The glass knitting work by Carol Milne was phenomenal and hands down my favorite entire collection was by Duy Huynh. His work was breathtakingly beautiful! I cannot wait to go back just to see the updated collections.
  • This is a fantastic gallery. Three floors of very impressive artworks in a wide variety of mediums with a focus on fine craft and and pieces made with traditional craft materials, like textiles, wood and glass. my family and I were thoroughly impressed and really enjoyed our experience.
  • Probably the largest gallery in Asheville, or so it seems. Not sure it's my favorite, but it's packed to the gills with tons of art, so get your stamina & caffeine on before you enter. Some art is amazing, other stuff, "meh". Loud grungy alternative rock was blaring too loudly for me to appreciate everything inside Blue Spiral. Nevertheless, it is a ginormous one-stop shop to see a lot of art!
  • Lots of wonderful art on display! Some if it was definitely quirky and esoteric, but others were more the normal type that someone actually put a lot of thought, time, and effort into making realistic and beautiful! The variety was great, because just when you thought you saw it all, something new was around the corner or up the stairs!
