Great egret sanctuary! Love the vision of the family that created this. The trees throughout the gardens are beautiful.

What a AMAZING unexpected visit! Mr. McIlenny did a wonderful job creating this sanctuary, gathering exotic plants and trees. The self-guided driving tour is easy to follow, with plenty of short trails to wander around and enjoy the peaceful gardens. You can download the free app to listen to the audio tour. We didn't get to see alligators as it was still cold for them in February. I think we spent over 2 hours and half in the park. It was getting dark when we left. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children. If you do the Tabasco factory the Jungle Gardens is included in your $12.50 admission. I definitely recommend this visit!

It's an amazing place! You can easily spend 3 or more hours! There are no restaurants or restroom during the circuit, I recommend take a repellent and some water to drink on the way! You can park your car and walk or drive and make some stops, it's an amazing place but please be careful! Those that have children don't let them walk away alone, have some alligator, spiders and a lot of wild life, all very relaxing and don't disturb nobody, but don't make so easy! Definitely go, don't think twice because of this, just careful!!

Jungle Gardens is absolutely one of the most beautiful places to be if you enjoy being in nature. This place was so very welcoming from the staff in the visitors center to the alligators that were out minding their business. (I think we saw at least 3.) I truly enjoyed myself and the pictures taken were amazing. I can't wait to go back in the Spring. If you're ever in that area, please take some time out to stop by. You will forget all of your worldly issues as you're driving through enjoying the scenery. The only thing I would say is that the bathroom was not clean at the visitors center. It could have been due to traffic all day but it could have been much cleaner.

This is the best part of our New Orleans trip and it wasn’t even planned. We got our Tabasco factory tour tickets online and the tickets included the Garden. It was so nice! We saw many baby alligators and egrets, and a lot of plants we’ve never seen before. There’s also a Buddha that was made 900 years ago which was very cool to see up close.

Don't miss this place if you're visiting Tabasco. This is a very well cared for showcase of beauty endemic to South Louisiana. You are able to drive through or make stops to walk around at multiple points of the gardens. There are many birds and reptiles enjoying the gardens at any time of day to watch or photograph.
