The Walters Art Museum houses a vast selection of world art, including Greek sculpture, Roman sarcophagi, Art Nouveau jewelry, and medieval ivories, as well as Old Master and 19th-century masterpieces. Named for William Thompson Walters and Henry Walters, the father and son duo who collected a significant portion of the museum’s pieces, the museum opened in 1934 following Henry’s death and subsequent donation of his collection to the city of Baltimore. An audio guide is available to talk you through each exhibit. Make your Baltimore itinerary with Klarna Trips to find out what to see and where to go.

Some great art and a god feeling. Right downtown. Varied works and easy to both go where you want or just wander, nice plus in my books. Free and Friendly.

Lovely destination for tourists and citizens on Baltimore. There are many truly stunning art pieces here. Despite none of them being extremely famous, the sheer age and intricacy of some of the pieces is insanely cool. Fantastic museum, really really lovely place

Excellent museum with diverse collection of art from various centuries in a variety of mediums. Price was perfect at FREE and staff and docents were friendly and helpful. Currently showcasing a type of pottery from the United Kingdom with vivid colors courtesy of a lead based glaze that highlights the health impact of those who worked on the pieces.

Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of art museums, but this one offers something for everyone! I really enjoyed strolling through all the different exhibits, which are arranged meticulously and purposefully. Do yourself a favor and stop by when you can! Oh, and here's one more major plus: admission is completely free!

Hats off to The Walters Art Museum and their wide range of exhibits! If you are looking for Egyptian sculptures dated back to 1390 B.C. or 1800’s British Colonial tea pots, the Walters have curated it all! The facilities are clean and orderly. With expansive layouts, these artifacts have amazing views and are labeled with easy to find descriptions. The best part about TWAM is that it's free. For the whole experience, check out the food court on the main floor. Unfortunately floors 4 and 5 are closed as of this review (for maintenance and remodel). The museum does offer self-guided tours via headset but was not available at the time of this review.

Great museum! This was my first time here and I really loved it. Lots of great art and the main museum joined with the mansion were all stunning. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I’m looking forward to returning when they reopen the 19th century exhibit in a couple weeks.
