  • Worth it. Took everything to get there, but damn...really great courses, but also so very well done as far as lodging, logistics, and caddies go. 20k steps on day 1, so plan shoes/socks/Scholl's/bandaids accordingly. My favorite part wasn't actually the golf itself, but posting up at the lodge bar and watching groups finishing up rounds and celebrating and/or groups arriving at the front door off the shuttle and geeking out at the layout and views. :) It's an absolutely cool vibe, and it's infectious so random folks become your friends ASAP. If/when I do it again, I'd go for 5-6 days and day 3 would be no full golf round, just a rest day + bars, flip flops, and the punch bowl/Preserve. 'Downtown' Bandon is sick, absolutely nothing going on except cheap drinks and some seafood. Hell yeah.
  • Stunning location and great golf. Accommodation was just average, not up to the quality and standard one would expect for the price paid. Restaurants on site were all below expectations both food and service wise. Feels like the captive audience is just being served and not looked after.
  • Bandon Dunes is quite possibly one of the most impeccably designed and well-kept golf resorts I’ve ever been to. Perhaps it was because we visited the weekend before the US Junior Amateur, but I have no issues with my visit. I joined family for a birthday weekend and played the par 3 13-hole and Pacific Dunes. The course design, the conditions, and the views are unmatched, even against my times playing at Pebble. The on-site restaurants were surprisingly good despite the fact that the breakfast buffet was quite standard. I would love to come monthly if not for the cost — it’s quite a few stacks, but that’s not going to stop me from possibly making an annual trip.
  • I felt compelled to write this review based on just service alone. The staff at Bandon Dunes makes this resort far superior to other destination golf resorts. Obviously the golf is incredible and speaks for itself, but the staff throughout the entire resort was just remarkable. Especially for being short-staffed after Covid. Thank you for making our birthday trip so special!
  • Interestingly, everything guys will spend for on a vacation is expensive. Must pay $$$$ for really sub par rooms, $$$$ (too much, really) for golf, $$$$ for caddies but food is reasonable, evens fine steak. Wine prices are outrageous, so guys drink beer or if you want really good wine, bring it, buy it at wineries on the way down from Portland. I’ve been like 8 times Courses: Bandon Dunes ***** Pacific ***** Trails ***** OM **** Sheep Ranch *** but ***** views Preserve - I don’t even bother Supposedly golf as it was meant to be, it’s not, it caters to wealthy men who probably already belong to a club or five. Golf is supposed to be for everyone, at least Sheep Ranch is there for the less skilled now. Resort Golf in USA is just so expensive, $1000/day in the end, too much to give overall *****
