Stand at Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint to admire the sights of the coast and the facial features on the massive rock protruding from the sea. From the viewpoint, look for the rock's profile as it seemingly gazes skyward. Take the stairs down to the clean beach for more views and rock pools to explore at low tide, but wear shoes with good tread in case of slippery areas. During your visit, keep in mind the Native American legend about the site, which tells of a woman's voice in the wind. Picnic tables and restrooms are available on site. • Excellent place for some beach time, long walks, sea stacks, photos, a cave, and even some solitude. Easy walk (stairs) to beach. Could have stayed for hours! Also enjoyed nearby Bandon's vibe.

  • Face rock is the most bizarre and incredible rock formation I’ve seen on the Oregon coast. This viewpoint is sweeping and breathtaking. There are pit toilet bathrooms which are accessible. The parking is small and can fill up. There’s a trail down the bluff to the beach below. It’s steep but not unmanageable. One down on the sand, you can walk in both directions right along the rock formations. Sometimes the wind can make the blowing sand miserable. Still, this is a must see place on the Oregon coast.
  • A fantastic little spot! The views were incredible, the beach access was easy to navigate and it was very clean. We especially loved seeing the rainbow colored rocks and will research more on the geology.
  • Beautiful windy place. Great spot to view whales. Very small parking lot. Lots of little caves and tunnels to explore. a short flight of steps and your on the beach.
  • We stopped here after a late start and big breakfast. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by this beach. There is a bigger concentration of notable rocks and geographic forms here than anywhere else we visited on our trip up the coast. You can enter this beach from two separate access points on Beach Loop Road and we parked at one then walked to the other. Afterwards, we walked along the road which offered sweeping views on the beach we just explored below. This town is so cool with the small houses that dot the coastline. This beach would be a great place to visit with kids or your dog. It was very windy and covered in debris (driftwood) when we visited in early September but was much less crowded than other places we visited on this trip. If you are in Bandon, definitely stop here to explore!
  • It was a bit different feeling from North Oregon coast ,, It is hard to tell but something feel different , After look around Bandon and it was take only 5min drive to reach at this spot. Have public flush toilet and stairs to down to beach , must be stop by to take a look and have trail courses, It was amazing experience to staying a while Strongly recommend!!!
