  • The place overall has a nice feeling to it. But I think you can go one time and be satisfied. I agree with another reviewer that it no longer feels like a mom and pop business b/c they have Disney...

  • A store that literally has something for everyone. It is not just candy and candles. Maybe you are just trying to get your 10,000 steps in, and are looking for an interesting place to walk (the store is very long). They have a lot of Holiday type stuff and a cool Halloween section. We moved away from the area long ago, but always stop in when we visit. Definitely worth your time.
  • This is now my favorite place to go when visiting the Poconos. Don't let the name fool you, it is more than a candle shop. Think of this as Hallmark heaven. This place is four building linked to each other. If you start in the front you have a section dedicated to Vera Bradley. Then you go into home decorations and the have so many. You have your Christmas theme, Halloween theme, Disney theme, pet themes, nature themes. Then you have the jewelry section and a counter for Pandora jewelry. You then walk into their candy shop which has both American candy and European candy by the barrels. They make rolled ice cream. And finally their candle shop where you can see how they make their candles. Wonderful selections. 👌
  • Wished I had some more photos to share. Been coming to American Candle now for over 20 years. This place just keeps getting better. The new wine and craft beer section from local breweries and wineries is an awesome addition (the register for these items is restricted to one register, so don't walk to the end with a basket loaded like I did! ). The bulk candy barrel section has been made "Covid-friendly" now by pre-bagging the candy into sealed bags or hard shell containers (see photo). If you want more, buy more, want less....well just share. We did some early Christmas shopping by getting some holiday scented candles, seasonal wine and beer. Plus picked up some of the "adult" liquor filled chocolates. Keeping it merry and bright! Stopping here on the way home is a perfect end to a Pocono getaway. Enjoy and happy holidays!
  • I have been passing this place for a while and finally made my way in. There is so much to look at. Cute trinkets, jewelry, snacks, tons of beer. Barrels of loose candy that are $3.99 for 1/2 lb. They have a rolled ice cream station. So much home decor for all occasions. You should definitely pass by and check this place out when you are near the area.
  • The place has a lot of little shops within. My favorite was the candy store. They have a lot candy that brought me back in time when I was a kid. At the other shops I found them expensive, but certain items were worth the price especially for the holidays. I love unique merchandise. It's worth stopping by.
