Beaufort Paddle, Beaufort

I cannot rave enough about this place! Rod and Debby are some of the nicest people and truly care about showing off their town. The staff is friendly and very accommodating (they even carried our kayak out to the water for us). We were told about Carrot Island where we could see the wild horses, which is only 10 minutes from the dock. You cannot beat this location- the dock is literally feet from the parking lot and you just get in and go! Everything was explained perfectly and we really optimized our time with the map and information provided. I would definitely recommend and we plan to visit again on our next trip. Thank you for the awesome experience!!

We opted for a guided kayak tour and it was a really great time. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable and managed our party of 6 (including 3 teenagers) quite handily. It was kindof a choose your own adventure - we chose finding horses on the nearby island. It was a good way to start out a day in Beaufort - definitely recommend!

Loved our experience renting from Beaufort Paddle today! Stopped in on a whim and ended up having a great three hour excursion at the recommendation of the awesome staff member Addy. Really impressed with the ease of renting on short notice and the extra items they had on hand to lend to patrons (water shoes, dry bags, bug spray, etc). I will definitely be back!! Give Addy extra kudos from me!!!

We kayaked for 10 minutes and walked several miles around the island. The people were nice, but the kayak trip seemed unorganized. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys hiking. Take bug spray we got eaten alive. We didn't have a terrible time, just not entirely what we expected.

Friendly and helpful staff! Was told they would provide water, shoes, watertight bags, etc - and expected to 'pay' for the convenience. Nope; no charge at all! If nothing else, this sold me on the company! Wife and I rented a tandem kayak and enjoyed the ride out to Sanddollar island; then to walk the outer loop trails. Tons of wildlife and great scenery. Would 1000% recommend and go again on our next visit to OBX. We did capsize the kayak on our way back to the docks. Two boats stopped to help us get back to shore. Then after hearing the radio chatter on the marine channels, the owner of Beaufort Paddle himself came out in his boat to check on us. At this point we were so exhausted we let him bring us back in. All of us laughing at the situation that we survived the 'divorce maker' boats! :) I cannot say enough about the staff here and how well they treated us. We left with the story of a lifetime!
