Experience a piece of Hollywood history at Greystone Mansion and Park. After a turbulent past of interchanging ownership following the murder/suicide of original owner Ned Doheny in 1929, Beverly Hills eventually ended up purchasing the estate in 1965, later converting it into a public park. Entrance into the mansion is usually closed off, but you can stroll around the park for free and admire the beautifully arranged gardens and great views of the city. If the iconic Hollywood grounds look familiar, it's probably because they've been the centerpiece of many movies and TV shows. Just keep in mind that smoking, picnicking, sports, pets, and loud music are prohibited in the area. Easily one of my favorite places to visit in LA. I first visited back when I was in high school, but being that was almost 20 years ago there was a lot I forgot. Not only is there a ton of history with the estate and owners, but the grounds alone are worth the visit. They are really beautiful and are crisscrossed with many walking paths that go around both sides of the estate. The mansion was closed during our visit due to COVID protocols, but we were able to see all around the exterior. There is a rose garden near the entrance but since they are out of season there are better times to view that part. I love this part of LA so visiting the area is a pleasure and parking is easy so getting in and out is a breeze. Make sure to make reservations online prior to visiting. I plan to visit again as soon as the interior tours are open again.

This is a beautiful place and it's great for family with kids. The mansion spans 46,000 sqft on a 6.5 ha land. You can easily get lost if you do not follow signs there. It has many sections with different gardens. The most famous is the cypress walk and the grand stairs where many movies were made. It's free for public access and free for non-professional photos. Park rangers are ACTIVELY patron the entire estate to make sure everything is in order all the times. Plenty of parking space and they do have multiple public restrooms in the facility. Not sure about handicap friendly or not since there are many stairs.

It was raining and winter so I gave this place only three stars. We were only allowed to walk around the garden outside the house. It is free and a little interest. You can put this site as a small attraction to fill up the time. I believe it will be beautiful when spring so visit then. After all, not bad, the third priority to visit.

Great place for a self paced adventure. Amazing views and cool history including scenes from Rush Hour and Aviator filmed there. Beautiful landscaping and architecture. Park rangers very polite and informative. Would give five stars if able to visit interior of house. Worth the visit...it's free!

Love this place. Been coming here for 9 years as my little getaway. It has become more popular over the years and more visitors have also discovered it. Still a great place to visit. On my last visit a parent was not watching her son and he was running around in the bushes pulling up some plants as the mother ignored him. Really sad point in my visit.
