Beautiful but crowded beach, good view of the historic railway/road bridge, watched a kestrel continually dive-bombing a red-shouldered hawk.

I was kicked out for having my medical alert service dog inside the gift shop. Dog was sitting next to me doing nothing. A huge thumbs down 👎 to the crusty old sea hag working there

Our favorite beach to visit when in the Keys. Always beautiful views. Excellent place to drop your kayaks in. Snorkeling can be done on either side. Concessions is wonderful and they offer good food and snorkeling tours. The beaches are amazing. Nice and shallow for a long time. Camping here looks incredible! Great staff, beautiful grounds. So much fun to explore!

Great park, the upkeep is really good. They have barbecues and picnic areas. The beach on both sides is good. The railroad bridge is turned into a museum area with plaques and paths to walk you through history. Small souvenir shops on site. $4.50/pp. Overall a great experience! Worth the time on your way to key west!

We came when the state park opened. You pay to get in here but it's well worth it. We were charged $9. We went to the other end where it was more secluded and not a lot of people on that side of the beach. Ended up going to the resort side and it was beautiful You can camp here and they have a swimming part of the beach where it was netted off and activities there like a treasure hunt, explore the old railroad and fishing and diving. Also, you can launch your boat. Beautiful place

Great beach on the bay side with good access and parking. Clean and well maintained. Water is good for chilling and very basic snorkeling if you fancy it. On the ocean side, the beaches unfortunately suffered from the seasonal seaweed bloom which covered the coastline and made entry into the water less enticing. Beautiful views though, especially from up on the bridge.

This is a favorite family spot for us. We are annual pass holders and are able to visit often. The park staff is always delightful and very proactive in giving helpful information. The beach and swimming area is clean, kept, and patrolled by park staff. There is ample parking, bathrooms, outdoor showers for rinsing off sand, and a conveniently located park store. Sea life is abundant and many types of fish, rays, and crustaceans can be seen around the jetty.
