This is a nice stop while visiting downtown Big Rapids. One time we visited to see a 15 foot quilt made from photos and fabric. Absolutely amazing! They also had smaller works by the same husband...

What an awesome place. Artworks offers so much to the community - classes, exhibits, performances, opportunities to participate in the arts for the physically and mentally challenged, public art, music, and everything art/culture related. Artworks enriches the community. It's also a place to volunteer and meet a wonderful group of people. That's how I made many friends in Big Rapids when I moved here 17 years ago. I highly recommend people stop in the gift shop, The Painted Turtle, and check out what Artworks offers.
