Roberson Museum and Science Center, Binghamton

Went here for their holiday Christmas tree set up and wow! It exceeded my expectations. Very beautiful and educational. They had so many displays with information about Christmas traditions around the world. I loved reading them and learning about other cultures. The price to enter and view this display was insanely cheap and we got to see the entire museum and mansion. The mansion is gorgeous and there are bathrooms and elevators readily available. I highly recommend this Christmas tree event. They do it every year and it's really great

This place is lacking the science part of the Museum :). The planetarium closed way too early. When we went on a Thursday the last show was 2 pm for a 5 pm closing. ????? The train and town set was impressive. The mansion was amazing. The whole museum could have been more interactive. More information that’s visual and moving rather than static. The mansion is the center piece of this museum and worth a visit!!

We love to visit during Christmas! I sometimes think this place is under-appreciated. We love it and it is worth a visit! The train room is one of our favorite spots and the mansion is beautiful.

Our 4 year old has recently become very interested in space so decided to take him here to watch one of the planetarium space shows along with our 2 other kids. Looked up the info online and found there was a space show at 6pm on Friday 12/30 of winter break. However, there wasn't an option to purchase tickets online. Called at 11am when they opened the day of the show and they said you have to come in and purchase tickets at the front desk. We arrived more than a half hour before the show and was told it was sold out. We told them we drove over a half hour to see the show and would have purchased tickets in advance but weren't given the option. They said tickets could have been reserved, but whoever we talked to several hours before never mentioned this. We asked if people didn't show up if we could purchase their seats, to which they replied that everyone had shown up. When they closed the door to the planetarium to start the show, there were 10-15 open seats minimum inside the planetarium! Very disappointed that 1) we weren't told we could reserve tickets and 2) we weren't allowed in when there was plenty of open seats! Our 4 year old was looking forward to seeing the show all day and this was just poor management by the staff! Have always enjoyed the roberson museum but this was just rediculous.

We went for Home for the Holidays. The trees were working jderfyl, well displayed. Bathrooms are always clean
