Puzzle Effect - Boise, Boise

So much fun! We had a blast at our first experience with an escape room. Katherine was very kind and explained everything really well. I'm in a wheelchair and this business is very welcoming to wheelchair users. There were a couple of things that I might have struggled to see from my viewpoint but I definitely think I could reach everything. Thank you again for the fun memories!

We had an amazing experience at Puzzle Effect, the online reservation and the staff were great, we booked the Curse on the Emerald Seas, I think it was the most challenging, we were sinking fast as the clock was running out, but with 5 seconds left, we were able to finish 😊. Thanks for the hints throughout our experience. The props were very realistic, what a fun time!!

This was the best escape room experience I’ve had so far. The room ended up being a little more difficult than expected but we enjoyed the challenge, and Jon was great at giving us hints when we needed them and even gave us some extra time since we were close to finishing. I’m definitely coming back here for future escape room outings.

Being relatively new to the escape room scene, it would seem that the degree of difficulty can vary greatly between businesses. My first escape room experience was one that was rated 8 out of 10 and the four of us solved it with only one hint and five minutes to spare. It was extremely fun and we quickly booked another experience, this time at Puzzle Effect. We chose Grim Stacks, which is rated “more challenging “ and this time the same four people could not solve it without at least 7 hints and an extra five minutes. We all found it crazy difficult and extremely frustrating. I should note that on the positive side, the people working there were very nice, no issues with that whatsoever. But when you go with the intent to have a fun time and instead wished you’d stayed home and lit $120 on fire and watch it burn, it’s hard to recommend it to others.

Great for my family of four! It was our first escape room and Katherine did an awesome job of explaining and giving us clues when we needed them. Even took a picture for us at the end. We'll be coming back soon!
