From wildflowers, cacti, and California fan palms to coyotes, deer, and eagles, you can see a variety of native species. The park's most famous residents are the endangered desert bighorn sheep, but they are shy and seldom seen by the visitors. Amazing state park! We didn't even get to see everything but the parts we saw were so beautiful! Font's Point at sunset was so gorgeous but you definitely need 4 wheel drive to get there. The slot canyon hike was great. Visitor center was nice and the staff there were super helpful in helping us choose which hikes to do and how to get there. The Palm Canyon Oasis trail was absolutely gorgeous and 100% worth taking the time to hike. Can't wait to come back someday!

This is a wonderful place to explore for a day. We spent about two hours here, discovering the statues and enjoying the picturesque landscapes. It gets pretty hot here, but the desert is really nice. The roads are good, not if you want to see the statues close by though.

We loved our stay at Blair Valley. We got a beautiful campsite. It is a wonderful time of the year to visit. There is so much to see here. The desert is in full bloom this time of year. Will definitely return.

This state park has so much space that it's incredible. If you want privacy take your car a little off the beaten path and there is plenty of spots to camp and enjoy the night. The desert is magical, spend a night out here and experience it yourself.

Inland San Diego County offers so many natural hiking trails, from ocean-close to inland desert trails, I find each provided tranquility and beauty in its own natures. It’s my first time visiting Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Weather temp was ranged between 69F-76F high at end of October month. Daily park entrance fee is $9-$10 if you plan to hike inside most of maintained trails inside the State Park. I chose a 3-mile roundtrip trail to Palm Valley. It’s a nice trail with gentle inclination, surrounded by beautiful natural desert habitats. Horn-sheep can be seen along the trail which makes the finishing hike very rewarding. Wearing sun-protected clothing and hat, at least 2 bottles of water and a few energy supplement snacks for a 3-mile desert hike is recommended.
