Yup, I had to see it after reading the book to my kids and then to their kids. For the day we visited, they were decked out in green finery.......for the Celtics?

This is a fun bit of whimsical art in the Boston Public Garden based on a famous children's book. We actually had a hard time finding it and had to ask some local folks to point us in the right...

My parents read me this book all the time when I was a kid. The plaque here claims that the book familiarized children with the garden and it did. Even never having been here before I knew about the swan boats and duck Island. Very cute. Many people in line for pics though. We got to see live ducks next to the statue.

I loved this book as a child. It is still a favorite. I love that the sucks are dressed for St Patrick's Day! I absolutely had to come here once I knew we were stopping in Boston.

Adorable little statues for the Make Way For Ducklings children's book. Love that these little babies are still here for all ages to enjoy. When I went, there were bananas on the ducklings, so sometimes there are small surprises when you visit.

Adorable sculpture worth stopping to see. There is cheap metered parking on Charles street (the road that runs between the public garden and the Boston commons) so you don't have to pay for a garage if you can find a spot there.

Walked thru the Boston Public Garden to see this beautiful sculpture. Lots of tourists taking pictures here. One adorable child was smiling and petting the mother duck statue while his Mom snapped photos and chatted with me.
