Runaway Mountain Coaster, Branson

Amazing place for your outdoor thrill seeker. It takes you up for about 5 mins to the top of the mountain and then you are in control of your speed on the way down. It had many turns, curves, and drops. It goes pretty fast if you don't tap on the breaks. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an outdoor adrenaline rush.

Great Adventure experience, very safe for kids and adults. Children only above 3 are allowed with driver above 16. 5 mins ride with lots of fun. As of Dec-2021 price were 20 for single driver for 1 ride and 31 for driver and passenger, which is worth for amount paid. Having said that the view is very good as it’s in between woods. A gift shop situated at the entrance. Lots of parking place around. Must place if you are at Branson,MO. It’s located right next to the highway.

This is marketed as the fastest and longest mountain coaster in the Midwest, and it is pretty fun, IF they give you enough space from the person in front of you who unnecessarily slows down or stops in front of you (DO NOT EVER stop on these types of coasters, it is very dangerous). They have you sign all kinds of waivers and make you give them a ton of personal info and also weigh you on a scale like you are livestock, all to protect them from any liability. They are open a half hour later than the other two in Branson (10:30pm) and the lighting is beautiful at night. Give yourself a few extra minutes to deal with the legal stuff and the then the wait in line, and you’ll have a great time. There are several built in safety redundancies, so there is no reason to ever hit the brakes once it starts unless you just get scared (which happens to a lot of first timers). Trust me, just let it fly and you’ll love it!

The coaster it's self is very fun and quite long. It's a fun thing to do here in Branson. The reason for the 3 stars is the long lines. You first have to go to the touch screen kiosks and fill out a very detailed questionnaire about each rider and it's takes considerable time. Each person including children must have an assoctied email address and accurate height. After doing this, you get in another line and pay. If anything is incorrect from your kiosk information they cannot change or update it and you must start all over again. So this is a quite annoying and tedious process It is also $30 for you and one rider to go on the ride. A little pricey for a quick trill. The photos at the end will run you $13 and you only get one print.

It was very fast and very fun. My issue was that they told us it was currently a 45 minute wait and we waited in line for over 1 1/2 hours. I was grateful our children were well behaved. Would we do it again? For less of a wait, yes. Not going to pay the extra 50% for the VIP treatment though. I think that was the issue. Many in the VIP line who got in front of us cheap people.
