  • we went to Night Lights since it was cheaper than going to Breakers lights which was $45.00 per person VS $30.00 for 2 people. We expected the mansion to be open to tour but it was not included in...

  • We enjoyed our time here. The grounds and home are beautiful. The staff is very friendly. We did the tea and scones on the porch and that was very worth it!

  • A wonderland. The gardens and house are exquisite. We usually go several times a year. A Christmas time visit is highly recommended.

  • Lovely place for a wedding and what an amazing view. The grounds are well kept and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were invited to a wedding and the ceremony was outside facing the ocean. Elegant and beautiful. The gardens were full of flowers, shrubs, and many different tree specimens. They were well labeled in case you are uncertain of the kind. The moon gate is a great place to take a picture. There is handicapped parking right on the side of the Mansion.
  • Great place to meander through the gardens, or in the mansion. We went on a beautiful summer day, and walked every inch of the property. My favorite part was the pairings of plants in containers, and the Giant sequoias on the property. The view of Narragansett Bay is priceless! The pathways are a challenge for a wheelchair but less so for a walker. Inside the house you'll find plenty of panels that give the history of the mansion and the family who lived there. The gift shop had some fun and unusual items - definitely worth checking out for holiday shopping. Be sure to buy your tickets in advance. I'm looking forward to returning for a spring visit!
  • Forgive me for reliving the experience that is Blithewold Mansion from the perspective of a wedding photographer, but that was my experience. The mansion, gardens, and arboretum want very little. Amazing architecture, stunningly manicured and expansive grounds and gardens. The diversity of spaces and vibes coming from each--whether its the bamboo forest grotto, the sprawling front lawn, the secret gardens, interior alcoves and balconies, etc. This is truly a meticulously cultivated space that harkens back to another era and that you can make your very own for your wedding day. It lends itself to beautiful wedding photography (with the right photographer, of course) as well as incredible wedding day memories. The staff here, beyond their helpfulness and attention to detail, care-- you can tell--about the venue and their guests' experience. Five-star place that's well worth a visit even if you're not about to get married.
  • Had so much fun here. Walked the grounds and brought proper footwear because the outdoors were so vast. We brought suntan lotion but forgot bug spray. It was early in the AM and we did get bit. Other than that it was beautiful. Great pictures, and the day was marvelous. The outside was lush and the scent, and the scenery was as poetic as you can get! Can’t wait for next time. Remember you never step in the same river twice.
  • What an experience! It was a gorgeous day to tour these beautiful grounds, as well as the home. From the art exhibit in the visitor’s center to the grounds, view and home, it was well worth the hours that we spent exploring.
