Short for "Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass," Dumbo is a bustling community on the shore of the East River. Thanks to the efforts of Joy Glidden, founder of of the DUMBO arts center and co-founder of the DUMBO Art Under the Bridge Festival, as well as other urban developers, the once industrial area was successfully transformed into a waterfront hub for artists and entrepreneurs. The rich arts and culture scene includes everything from small galleries to large performance venues, as well as book and music stores. The neighborhood also features trendy shops, bars, and restaurants, including great pizza places. As you wander between local businesses, many of which are housed in revamped industrial buildings, take in views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. The relatively small neighborhood is easy to explore on foot, and it is accessible from Manhattan via subway and ferry. Such a cool spot near the Manhattan Bridge. It’s such a lively place with a “flea market” of sorts with incredible knickknacks, records, and food. Definitely come here to grab a picture of the incredibly famous view of the Manhattan Bridge between two stunning brown buildings. When the sun shines on the buildings, the view is breathtaking!

A very touristic area with a stunning view of the Manhattan bridge. The area is flooded with restaurants along the street to have quick bites or just take quick breaks from the winter chills during winter. The view is just breathtaking, those kind of views that are better enjoyed with friends or family. To be honest the only bad thing is the number of tourists who flock this area. It’s rarely deserted making it very hard to get a clean shot with no people. And also the street gets busy sometimes with cars, so take pictures responsibly without inconveniencing the motorists in the area.

If you get a chance while visiting this is a must see area. Along the Hudson River there are spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge and beautiful buildings. There is a rooftop restaurant where I can just get the best pictures then walk around the park to the merry-go-round

Awesome place to take iconic photos. This scenery has been featured in several movies and tv shows. Pretty easy to go to after walking the Brooklyn bridge. Don’t forget to keep walking to get to pebble beach for more iconic views 🤩

Dumbo was so much fun 🤩 it’s wasn’t so crowded that we couldn’t take pictures, there were some people but we were able to take nice pics and pose and chill definitely go with time! There’s so much there! 1) the classic picture 2) the park that you need to visit right behind that street, that you wouldn’t know to go or might forget if your crunch on time, 3) soho is a shopping 🛍 district right across the bridge with local shops so definitely go with time to do what’s already near.
