  • A little off the beaten path, but well worth the visit. Great history lesson on one of our great patriots. Take the extra time and go there.

  • What a wonderful afternoon we had here , a welcome as soon as we walked in to the visitor center. Everything is within walking distance although if like me you have trouble walking they do have some golf carts you can use which makes getting around very easy. The house, kitchen, carriage house and law office, all really nice to see. If you decide to walk to the cemetery, it is not all flat and you can't take a golf cart, there are a few steep hills and some flat ground, so beware of this. Parking is easy, restrooms in the visitor center and everything was great. Well with an afternoon out.
  • I really enjoyed touring the property. Patrick Henry's ancestor is there some days to answer questions.
  • Low admission price is always great, and very pretty grounds. I would have liked more discussion about Henry and slavery there, especially since he was proponent of Liberty. The website does a pretty good job of it, however.
  • A great film, museum and walk around the property viewing the buildings. We were able to meet Patrick Henry's great X 5 grandson who gave us the tour of the home. A very educational experience
  • Great place and all open with wonderful staff to inform you of the history involved. (Private foundation not like visiting National Park services....and a great bargain at a whole 8 bucks.) Also great signage to follow all the way there and they'll even give you a map to get back out if you're nervous. Hopefully Bonnie is working when you visit she's a walking encyclopedia...and the ground staff are friendly also!
